Waiting For UPS

A beautiful row of tall Syrian dolls on Tulip’s Staten Island window sill await their trip back to California. Eyebrows embroidered and brocade dresses all sewn and stitched the pretty Syrian dolls are now ready to be adored. In a glance I see dozens of French textiles from my jacket collections archive all out to a good use. Recycling old motifs and updating mythology messages can get complicated. This is the kind if moment I wish I had a podcast or short film to better explain this Doll Collection.
